A big shout out goes to Alpena Alcona Area Credit Union. Over the past 3 months they collected funds to be donated to Cheboygan Intermediate Schools Scholastic "Share the Fair" account. These funds will be used to purchase books for students at CIS. Thanks a bunch Alcona Credit Union.

Just a reminder that we will have Zoey Kowalski here in the CIS Library to from 6:00-7:00pm today to provide tips and suggestions for handling difficult behaviors with your child. Zoey is a school Social Worker with Thunderbay. We hope to see you there!
The Cheboygan Peewee Hockey Team went to Alpena for the Battle on the Bay Tournament this past weekend, and won the Championship! This includes a handful of our CIS students!

Our 2nd and 3rd grade students brought in an amazing crowd last night at their holiday concert! Hats off to all of the staff and parents who made this night happen, especially Miss Abby and our friends at the Opera House!




2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade did an awesome job at their concert rehearsal yesterday! Thank you to the Cheboygan Opera House for hosting our concerts this year. Concert Day Reminders: 2nd & 3rd Grade perform on Tuesday, December 9th (today!) 4th & 5th Grade perform on Thursday, December 11th ***For both concerts: The venue is the Cheboygan Opera House. Doors at 5:30 P.M. and the concert starts at 6:00 P.M. There is no ticket fee, and seats are first-come, first-served. The concert will be about 30 minutes long.








4th graders had a READ-A-THON today to raise funds for field trips and classroom supplies. All 4th grade classes read for 100 minutes or more!





Attention Parents and Guardians!

Congratulations to our student and staff ticket winners for the Striatus Quartet Concert on Sunday, November 16th! Thank you to The Cheboygan Opera House for providing our school with free tickets. We are also really excited to have the Striatus Quartet visit the Cheboygan Intermediate School on Monday for some mini-student performances.

Meet Hope and Courage, our newest CIS additions!
Our amazing STEAM teacher, Mrs. Douglas was one of the first teachers to get a fish through Sturgeon for Tomorrow. Sturgeon for Tomorrow began the classroom sturgeon program in 2013, and Mrs. Douglas has had new sturgeons every year since! Another awesome thing is that this year our CIS sturgeon was chosen for a documentary!! Amazing!!!
