Sunday Soup

Good Sunday Evening,

Thank you, Parents for Attending PT Conferences, last Week!

I wanted to thank all the parents who were able to reach out to their child’s teacher during our PT conferences last week, Wednesday.  As you know, I believe parents who make a good connection with their child’s teachers create the best learning environment possible.  Even if things are going well today, I would still encourage you to reach out and connect.  Please start creating that personal bank account with your child’s teacher today because someday in the future you may need to make a withdraw!  What is most important, is that you/we create the common goals for your child’s educational success.

Thank you, Chamber of Commerce!

I was invited to attend the Ambassador Recruitment Presentation this past Wednesday and had the good fortune to learn about what it means to be an Ambassador.  It sounds like a wonderful opportunity for people to get involved with the local community and businesses.  If you are interested in learning more about becoming an Ambassador, please contact Carole Yeck directly and/or visit their website for more information: https://www.cheboygan.com/

There is also a Business After Hours opportunity this week at Nicolet Bank, Thursday, April 18th, from 5:00 to 7:00.  Please feel free to join us and learn more about Chamber programs and how to get involved.

Spring Sports have Sprung!

It looks like we are in store for some good weather heading our way which means we may just get some games in this week!  I would encourage you to come on out and catch a game or two this week.  This Spring we have the following teams:

  • Baseball – JV & V

  • Softball – JV & V

  • Boys Golf

  • Girls Soccer – JV & V

  • Track and Field

Book Study – “Drive” by Daniel H. Pink:

Chapter 4 Discussion Questions were sent out last week, please work on them this week.  Don’t forget to make a post in our Chat Room and also make a comment on someone else’s post.  I will be sending out Chapter 5 later this week.  I believe the best learning opportunities occur between each other.

Bootcamp/Healthy Lifestyle Update:

The sun is out and the inspiration is here.  This week I encourage you to kick those healthy lifestyle goals into overdrive!  If you can walk/run 2-3 times per week and do some resistance/weight training 2-3 times per week, you will be well on your way to a better spring/summer.  Do a little bit more today than you did yesterday.
