Good Sunday Evening,
Leadership Cheboygan is Starting a NEW Cohort!
On Wednesday, February 28th, the first meeting will take place for the new “Leadership Cheboygan” cohort organized and governed by our own Cheboygan Chamber of Commerce. This is the program's third year/cohort and the past cohorts have been extremely successful and a wonderful experience for those community members that participate. If you are looking to broaden your leadership horizons, I recommend that you consider joining. You will develop and grow your leadership skills and you will find that this is a great pathway to get involved with your local community members and to make a difference! If you are interested, please contact the Chamber Office on Monday for details @ (213) 445-9045.
SiteLogiq Workshopping Continues:
Last week, Thursday night, the BOE continued their workshopping with SiteLogiq. The BOE continued to review the comprehensive Facilities Assessment of the CAS School District. The BOE continues to discuss and narrow the scope of the projects to those that are MOST important while continuing to discuss and negotiate costs and fees. The BOE tabled the approval of the extension as they continue to work through the details with SL. Another meeting will be scheduled soon to continue the conversation and the work, TBD.
Book Study – Drive by Pink:
Excellent job Team! We have completed our Discussion Questions for the Introduction and Chapter 1. I will be sending Chapter 2 discussion questions out soon for you to begin to work on at your convenience this week.
It looks like everyone has access to the chat room. Please make sure to make a statement in the chat room for both the Introduction and for Chapter 1. Then, make at least one response to a statement in hopes of generating a few conversations. The Team has been doing an excellent job of interpreting the content and through discussion taking a deeper dive into the idea of it all. Good Stuff…
Bootcamp Update:
This is the last week of February, so this is the last week of Tuesday/Thursday Bootcamp workouts from 6am to 7am in the new Fitness Center as we have accomplished our February workout goals. However, we are stepping it up in March. We will be adding 30-45 minutes of cardio days on your own during “off” lifting days. We are also increasing our workouts from two per week, to three workouts per week in the Fitness Center; T-W-Th.
I am also happy to report that our after-school “open” Fitness Center program is going extremely well! I am impressed with the number of students taking advantage of the FC after school. There are also students accessing the facility through PE and Zero Hour before school starts. Also, a big thank you to our Fitness Center supervisors/coaches that are doing an excellent job of making sure that our kids are properly dressed, using proper technique, and keeping SAFETY as our #1 priority. Go Chiefs!
How are your personal workout goals going this winter? Spring Break is right around the corner…time to step up your game!
