Sunday Soup

Good Sunday Evening,

SiteLogiq Workshop:

This past Saturday morning, we had a BOE workshop to discuss our partnership with SiteLogiq.  As many of you know, we have been working with SL for almost 6 months now.  They have been extremely helpful to us by conducting a comprehensive Facilities Assessment of our entire School District.  Now, we are analyzing the data that SL has provided and we are trying to narrow the scope to determine what area, or areas, of our District B&G will need the most care and attention in the future.  The BOE will be continuing their discussion on Thursday, February 22nd, at 6:30pm in the BR.

Book Study – Drive by Pink:

We are off and running now.  You should have access to the chat room.  You should have discussion questions for the Introduction section and Chapter 1.  We will begin looking for our first face-to-face meeting date soon, which will occur after Chapter 3.  I will be collecting all questions and answers up to that point at our first FTF meeting.  Don’t forget to make a statement in the book study chat room for both the Introduction and the Chapter 1.  Then, everyone should make at least one response to a statement in hopes of generating a few conversations.  Happy Reading!

Bootcamp:

I am happy to report that I have accomplished my February personal workout goal so far, attending every Tuesday and Thursday morning session starting at 6am in the new Fitness Center.   This will be the start of Week #4 but unfortunately, I will be out of town on Thursday, so we will have to cancel Thursday’s FC morning workout.  We are going to step it up in March by adding 30-45 minutes of cardio on off days and increasing our workouts from two per week, to three.  How are your personal workout goals going?  Don’t forget Spring/Summer are right around the corner!

Learning Opportunity for Aides at COPESD:

There is a training opportunity for CAS Aides at the COPESD on February 22nd.  You will learn the best practices for supporting students with different abilities in a sharing and collaborative environment with other Aides to build professional knowledge and learn how to best support your students.  The training is in-person at the COPESD Main Office from 4:15 to 7:00pm on the 22nd.  Please register through copesd.org.  Food and Materials provided.  For more information call COPESD @ 231-238-9394
